Welcome to the online home of Norwood Christian Church. Take a look around and learn a bit more about us! We look forward to you joining us in worship on Sunday morning at 10:30 am. You will find the service to be informal, the people to be friendly and the sermons to be down to earth and practical. The dress is generally informal. A few dress up but most wear business casual or jeans.
NCC is affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the oldest church to have originated in America. Ours is a community of believers who are interested in ministering to our community and sharing the awesome good news that God loves us and desires to have a relationship with us. We are excited to tell people that Christianity is not about rules and religion; it is about relationships.
Come as you are. You will be welcome. Don’t let your preconceived ideas about church hold you back.

Worship
SETTLE IN AND GET COMFORTABLE. Ours is a mix of contemporary and traditional worship music but the service is very informal.
We begin with a WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS. Any responses are in the bulletin and projected on the screen in the center of the front wall.
Next, you are invited to join in SINGING a couple of praise song. The words are on the screen and the words and music are in a provided hymnal.
Next, our Pastor leads us in a PRAYER and then we pray the LORD’S PRAYER together. Again, the words are in the bulletin and projected on the screen.
Next, the congregation sings a PRAYER RESPONSE.
We then take an offering. Our visitors are not expected to give to the church.
The SERMON is the next thing to happen. His sermons are interesting, clear, practical, Biblical and often humorous.
After the sermon, all are invited to RESPOND TO GOD’S WORD as the congregation sings a hymn.
Next, we SHARE IN COMMUNION.
We then CLOSE OUR WORSHIP TIME WITH A HYMN.
After Worship
Hang around a while and visit. Let us get to know you. If you play your cards right, you might get invited out to lunch. 🙂
